DGDA would like to clarify that certain information being shared on social media platforms pertaining to the land acquisition initiative for land falling within the Diriyah project perimeter is incorrect and misrepresentative of the current status of the initiative. DGDA is following the government approved and endorsed plan in this regard and is working to ensure the best possible outcome for all residents affected by any of the Diriyah masterplans. Furthermore, DGDA is working to ensure that residents’ rights are maintained and that they are kept aware of the latest updates through direct communications. The DGDA team would like to emphasize the importance of ensuring that information regarding this matter is received from authorized and official sources to avoid confusion.




DGDA presents a video showcasing future residential buildings in the heart of the land of kings and heroes.

Diriyah Gate Development Authority has unveiled its plans for Wadi Hanifah. The development project to bring together the natural environment and the Najdi architectural identity with a modern style. The different elements are drawn together for maximum impact and highlights the culture of Najdi architectural design, embracing the historical heritage of the capital of the first Saudi state.

The video, published by the DGDA, shows the vision for residential buildings and their surroundings, including the streets, sidewalks, parks, pedestrians paths and sports sites. The aim of this design is to create effective human- social connections, supporting Diriyah as one of the most important sites where people can gather around the world. The release of the video came after the plans and architectural drawings had been viewed in detail by the authority.

Diriyah Gate Development Authority previously announced consultation with landlords, residents, engineering designers, and owners of the design studio initiative. The focus on this consultation was to seek opinions on the design options and how the buildings might meet the Wadi Hanifah form base code standards, ensuring conformity to the specifications laid out for Wadi Hanifah. A hundred residents have also been part of these consultations and building permits have been issued.

The authority aims to establish harmonious urban planning for the region, based on best practices, regulations, controls, competitive standards, and procedures. DGDA aims to protect historical assets, and to elevate its position in the region, making it an attractive environment for housing and investment projects.

The Wadi Hanifah form base code was launched as part of the supervisory scope of the authority. It covers an area of 190 km. The aim is to enhance the quality of architectural designs, urban and architectural planning regulations, building arrangements and land use, and to create a distinctive and sustainable environment for highlighting the exceptional urban heritage of "The Jewel of the Kingdom".

The Wadi Hanifah plans highlight the possibilities of modern designs, inspiring the artistic lines and creativities of Diriyah, and blending these with modern standards and designs. The hope is to create a modern lifestyle, a vital community, and places for social gathering in the Diriyah distinct. It is an area renowned for its breathtaking views and wonderful natural locations such as Wadi Hanifah, as well as the beautiful green spaces that are a part of the various tourism and recreational projects in the region.
