Essential infrastructure work will commence on 15 July along the Riyadh’s Western Ring Road as part of the ongoing realization of Diriyah Gate Development Authority’s (DGDA’s) development pipeline, which will transform Diriyah into the largest culture and heritage city in the world.
To enable this essential infrastructure works, construction along Riyadh’s Western Ring Road has commenced, and travelers may experience minor surrounding road closures along Al Athar, Al Qaryah Al Khadra and Northbound WRR Branch Road from 15th July.Whilst construction progresses, every consideration has been taken in order to minimize the impact of the improvements on local residents and businesses.
The development is one of many gigaprojects in the Kingdom that aims to empower the sustainable development and transform Diriyah for the benefit of local citizens and the Kingdom at large. These works are instrumental in delivering DGDA’s established masterplan as part of our commitment to Vision 2030 – responsible and sustainable transformation of Diriyah, conserving and promoting the Islamic, Arab & National heritage of the Kingdom.
We are grateful for your support and understanding whilst we undertake this historic and important work. DGDA assures the community that provisions have been made to limit the impact to the local residents and businesses, including new temporary roads and signage.
DGDA is appreciative of the patience and understanding of the local community to allow it to undertake this incredible transformation that will enrich the lives of its inhabitants, through employment, and economic growth. DGDA are humbled by the support of the community in this transformational period and working tirelessly to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum and we keep the community informed of all upcoming disruptions.
