Planned Wadi Hanifah infrastructure and landscape works have commenced with Phase 1 scheduled to begin from 10th October 2021

As part of the ongoing realization of Diriyah Gate Development Authority’s (DGDA’s) development pipeline, which will transform Diriyah into Riyadh’s foremost lifestyle destinations for culture and heritage, the planned Wadi Hanifah infrastructure and landscape works will take place in three phases:

Essential infrastructure works including the renewal of electrical, drainage and water pipes in addition to the upgrade of the public realm and streetscape, will commence on 10th October along Wadi Hanifah Road. The area affected will be from Al Maktabah Road to the junction of Ibn Salman Road and Wadi Hanifah Road  (the Ostrich Farm roundabout) including the road into Wadi Safar, as part of the ongoing realization of Diriyah Gate Development Authority’s transformation of Diriyah.

In order to deliver this important infrastructure program, the road will be closed to the general public.

We are humbled by the community's patience and support as we work at restoring historic Wadi Hanifah.
